New sever has a setting that automatically made apostrophes in messages safe for the database turned off. (If you stuck an apostrphe in the message body for example, it would reject it.) So had to manually add that in. Also the posting message from the code I wrote six years ago (gah!) didn't throw any errors if something when wrong, so it just said things were okay without checking. All fixed now though. ;)
