I tried to do it that way, but I didn't design the battle system correctly. The problem is the battle ends in the middle of several loops, and loading a save state causes weird things to happen because it tries to go back and pick up where it left off. Basically I'd have to do a re-write of the battle system, which isn't going to happen. (Heh...) Luckily I realized this and did DAX's the right way.
