Even if you didn't show what 'hue' means, consider Xorlak's sentence. If given
'There's a statue with a reddish [...]'
you can conclude the missing word is either:
a) some object on the statue
b) a characteristic of the statue
All the Mortis statues are (sort of) a solid colour. Therefore, no one object would be tinted differently. From here, you just look for a red statue. An astute reader might just ignore the unknown word and make the adjective into a noun.
