I've been sporadically looking at a few other game designing programs. I tried Game Maker over a year ago and thought it was pretty impressive. It looks like its more suited to action or platform style games rather than menu based RPGs, though (although I didn't look at its scripting language very closely). I actually haven't made up my mind as to which designer I'm going to use next just yet.
