Well, I can say that I'm kinda working with Game Maker every once in a while, and I did actually see a few Final Fantasy RPGs made with it. But I guess Tk is more suited for RPGs "by default" as you'll need to code everything from scratch with Game Maker.
But hey, I even once had a thought of trying to make a Game Maker-rendering of Dark Age EX menu / combat system ;)
(the above was, quite fortunately, just a sick thought passing my head)
Also, jfighter doesn't have DRAGONS. We need space combat with DRAGONS. RAWR MIGHTY BALLS OF FIRE.
