This board uses names as the search key, rather than ID numbers. Basically that means all your posts, submissions, etc. under the old name would become unregistered. (I wrote it this way so that unregistered people could post/submit things, and if they registered, everything they posted would become registered.)
In short, if you really want a new name, just register a new account. (Heh...)
