I have two suggestions:

1 - Disable the IFRAME tag. This tag is very nice but it does allows the launching of DHTML (as you've seen). DHTML is just a Visual Basic program so potentially a virus could be written in VB then launched via an IFRAME.

2 - Make the BASE of the message viewing pages be _blank so that links open in a new window.
