The difference between the last two notches will not change speed at all, since the real difference is in how often syncronisation is performed with the monitor and the setting is only interesting in the context of programs that use all of the computer's resources (e.g. full-screen games). (Windowed mode is significantly slower htan full-screen mode for this very reason: it has to share resources with other programs, including Windows' rendering processes.)
